Website Audit: Liz Getman

Liz Getman is a content creator for social change. She believes that the traditional top-down approach of marketing is out. A framework that values and amplifies our diverse identities is the way of the future, and more importantly, the way to a more equitable and inclusive world for all.

A preview of Liz Getman's website on an ipad.

So, we re-designed a website to highlight Liz's radiant personality which shines through the work she does for social entrepreneurship businesses, both solo, organizations and everything in between.

A challenge I faced was not starting from scratch. But thankfully Liz's website was on Squarespace (SQ) 7.0. One of the biggest and most efficient layout changes we did was transform all the pages into indexes so that we can break up the content into sections, making it visually easier for the website visitor.

I was able to transform a previously dainty and feminine website into a bright and colorful palette to express empowerment and Liz's personable self.

Say hello to the chameleon power of Image and Gallery Blocks. Using Site Styles, we were able to create a layout that was not very typical of Squarespace which is - one section over the other.

To optimize SEO, we focused on backlinks and created a press section because daaaang, Liz has a lot - so might as well create a place to share all of the social change content she has c0-created with and for clients.
